Maryland Renaissance Festival 2012

Hi Everyone!

I went to the Maryland Renaissance Festival with my sister and Parents this past weekend and was able to take a lot of photos. I will be going again on the 20th where I will be debuting a Renaissance dress that I got as a gift!

I am posting a few pics that I really love here and you can see more on my Facebook Photography Page:

Life Update

Hi Everyone,

I first wanted to apologies for not posting as much as I have been in the last few weeks. I have had a lot of things going on in my life and some things I didn’t mention earlier because I wasn’t ready to talk about it. So…where to begin?!

1) I got a new job! I was offered a position at a new organization for a very nice pay raise so I accepted the position and started working there as of September 9th. I am really enjoying the new job but, as we all know, when you start a new job, you’re spending a majority of your time just trying to learn the lay of the land. Things have finally begun to equalize so I will be able to post more and work on some home projects!

2) I went to Baltimore Comic Con this month, as many of you know, and was able to meet my childhood hero, Stan Lee. It’s very hard to come down from a huge high from that. You can look back at a lot of my posts and see updates there. I am still trying to upload the Stan Lee Panel Video but am having a lot of problems because it is so long and my internet sucks.

3) My friend, Eva Jade Landon, is a recording artist and she asked me to participate in her music video for her new single “IF THE SHOE FITS.” You can upload the song on iTunes now! Check out her website and learn more:
http://www.evajadelandon.com
. I will publish the music video when it is online!

4) This weekend I will be going to Monster Mania down in Hunt Valley, Maryland where I will be meeting some cast members from the show “Walking Dead” and the epic Legend Sam Jones (also known as FLASH GORDON)! I am pretty excited about this event! I will keep you all updated throughout the weekend so make sure to follow my twitter: @LizGmaz if you want by the minute updates! More Info:

5) I attended a very same Con called “Intervention” which was a really fun. I saw an independent film there called “Ninjas Versus Vampires” and was able to meet one of the actors Daniel Ross. He mentioned that there was going to be a International Horror Film Festival in October and their new film “Ninjas Versus Monsters” was going to be premiered there. I just bought tickets for the Sunday showings and plan on attending the Filmmakers Summit throughout the day. In case you don’t know, the Spooky Movie International Horror Film Festival is Washington, D.C’s only genre-based film festival. Recognized as one of D.C.’s premiere festival events, as well as “the world’s premiere horror film festival,” Spooky Fest works closely with our partners to offer year round screenings of feature and short films, in addition to our signature festival event every October. More info here:

6) I AM MOVING! Things are really going to slow down for me as of November because I will be moving in January and need to start getting things together. Now that I have the new job, I really have to get a new place closer because the drive is going to kill me!

So…I think that’s it for now…I’m sure I forgot something but I will let you know in the future! As you can see, things have been really busy and I LOVE IT!

You all have a great day! Thanks for reading!

Otakon Was Amazing!

Hi Everyone!

I’m sorry I didn’t post at all this weekend but I was so busy at Otakon that I just didn’t have the time. Now, I’m back to the grind at work and ready to start publishing some photos!

I haven’t gone to Otakon for a while because in 2010 I had a really bad time. I had about 40 requests this year to come so I thought “What the heck?!”

I put a list together of the pros and cons of the Convention so you could all get an idea on how well it was.

PROS:
1. Seeing so many of my friends and meeting new ones!
2. The Mass Effect Photo Shoot was just amazing. All the Mass Effect cosplayers were so nice and really loved my work on my armor. Just as nerdy as me! Loved it! I’ve never had more fun at a Shoot in my life!
3. Kudos points I got from major cosplayers on my work with my Armor! I got some great construction advice on how to improve as well which is ALWAYS appreciated!
4. Staying at the Hilton – I love staying in the hotel where the convention is being held so I don’t have to constantly worry about getting there and can stay as late as I want!
5. Raving Friday and Saturday in my Commander Shepard Cosplay. I have never had more fun at a rave in my life. I actually found some amazing comments on twitter concerning dancing with me!

6. There are more but right now I can’t think of any.

CONS
1. Way too hot – I couldn’t stand the heat and it reminded me of one of the reasons I didn’t like Otakon in the past. Summer Cons are hard for me because my cosplays are usually layer and hot already.
2. Some of the Photo Shoots were SO DISORGANIZED. Especially the Marvel shoots! I think that’s because one of the Female Loki’s (The one with the white cape – if you were there you know which one). She was really inappropriate and just ruined the shoot for most people. Everyone in the back of the shoot were talking about how obnoxious she was. I think it’s because she was really trying to be in character with pretending to have a British Accent and being very sexual. She ended up licking one girl which really pissed her off (of course!) so I think the Lady Loki was just a mess. She ruined the shoots for most people.
3. Not a lot of places to eat – I tried ordering Chinese, because all the places to eat were filled, and it took 2 hours to get there. It was cold by the time I got it and there were not microwaves to heat it up.
4. Traffic – LOL
5. Have baseball games and various other events in the area when you plan a Convention which consists of about 38k people. Just was so overcrowded…

Overall – Otakon was a success for me. I may consider going again. Right now, I will be working on getting you all the photos that I took so you all have enjoy the epicness!

You all have a great day!

400 Posts of Pure Love

This is my 400th Post of my Blog!

I don’t want just any random thing posted for this milestone other than a big Thank You.

When I first started this blog in 2009, I never would have imagined that I would be going strong 3 years later. Without all your love and support, I would not have continued with this Blog.

My dreams and hopes is that my Photography touches the hearts of everyone who sees it and that I can can bring a little joy into everyone’s lives. I hope I have succeeded.

You all have a wonderful day and I look forward to more great milestones with you all!

Thank you again!

Head Shot

Hi!

I always do something different with my hair every summer and this time I decided to layer it up and add bangs.

I got a Head Shot done today for my future endeavors in acting/modeling. I’ve been asked a few times for a Head Shot but never really got one done.

What do you think?!

Bahamas Cruise Day 5 – Dolphins

Hi!

So, this was my favorite part of the Cruise! I got to swim with dolphins. I was so happy I almost cried! It has been a lifelong dream and to finally have it happen, was a dream.

These photos are all my favorite ones that I took! I have to scan my personal photos of myself because I bought a few at the Dolphin Excursion. None of these have me in it. When I get it scanned, I’ll post right away for you all!

Hope you enjoy!

Bahamas Cruise Day 5 – Atlantis

Hi Everyone!

While we were at Nassau, we decided to check out the hotel/resort, Atlantis. Let me tell you, you could probably just have a one week vacation there. It was amazing! I fell in love with the place. I plan to one day go back there to just chill!

The Atlantis Paradise Island is a resort and waterpark located on Paradise Island, The Bahamas. Officially opened in 1998, the resort was created by South African hotel magnate Sol Kerzner and Kerzner International Limited. Paradise Island first opened its Coral and Beach Towers as the Trump Plaza, then changed its name to Atlantis when the Royal Towers were built. The Coral and Beach Towers were later refurbished to match the theme of the Royal Towers. On 28 March 2007 a 600-suite luxury hotel named The Cove Atlantis opened on Paradise Island. Another tower, the 497-room Reef Atlantis, opened 19 December 2007.

These photos are just random shots of everything that I thought was super cool at Atlantis!
